No Priests, No Prayers
Tons of ideas in my head that I've yet to write,
Random unsightly splotches of paint on my wall,
I would need none of them as I venture into the light.
Abandon everything, abandon it all...
Would my Morse code to the sky reach everyone?
If I made myself clear, would it matter?
Would it be better if I just never told anyone
These incoherent thoughts, broken, scattered?
I want to be forgotten, at the same time remembered.
Like a river, ever changing but always there,
Like a spent bonfire, from wood to embers.
I suppose either way seems to be fair.
Please paint my wall white, save this one last poem.

"So... you're actually a... girl?" stammered Dean inbetween gulps of saliva. Only a minute ago, he came across the realization that he had unwittingly just invited a girl to his apartment - alone - and that girl in question was currently sitting comfortably beside him on his bed, in his room, wearing his clothes.
"What kind of question is that?" muttered Drew. "Of course, I'm a girl. Did you think I was a guy all this time or something?"
"Well... actually... yes. Yes, I did."

“Selene… wake up, Selene…”
She opened her eyes and let the piercing light of day overwhelm her. She only opened them into long slits to prevent the rest of the light from entering her delicate eyes. She rubbed them to take a clear view of her surroundings. Looming above her were the pale fluffy clouds that drifted slowly and calmly across the bright blue sky. The sun wasn’t visible from her line of sight behind what seemed to be the shade of a tree but she didn’t dare look for it.
A hand held her by the shoulder and helped her up. The hand felt warm and inviting. She sat up and saw the rest of the view. She
The ghosts of my past come back to visit
Fears and nightmares give me solace
As I try to abandon my thoughts,
The demons of the present
Drain away my vitality
Suffocating, choking
Falling, crashing
Back to the black abyss
The ghosts tuck me in
and write reassuring words on the ceiling
There is no escape;
They stifle my screams and dry my tears
I breathe in the smoke as I close my eyes
Falling slowly, quietly,
Humming a deathly song to my ears
I see numbers that possess no meaning
I see an existence filled with contradictions
Judging eyes, they see through me,
Piercing me like knives
I hide in my garden where anguish blooms like a flower.
